Inke Wallpaper Menagerie

They are made from designer and vintage wallpaper and are cut into silhouettes. They come in a tube with a brush , paste and instructions. Inke is an artist/desginer living in the Netherlands who started the idea by making a wall paper animal for her sons room. Each silhouette is hand crafted which we think is especially fabulous. These birds are my fav but I do love the lion too.
You can buy them online at Vancouver retailer Modern Kid

We met the rep for this lovely brand Shokay at the Vegas show. We couldnt resist their Miss Piggly Wiggly dolls made with 100% Yak Yarn. The yarn originates in the Himalayins where the Yak yarn provides a life source for the Tibetan herders. So not only are they helping sustain a society but they are dang cute! They make the perfect addition to your baby gift. Find them on our website .

Its a sling............its my curtains

Ok so your must be wondering what on earth Im talking about. These lovely slings by Pippalily are made out of 100% and are machine washable. I had to write about them as these use such fabulous fabrics for their slings, and I particularly loved this fabric so much that I made curtains for my living room from it. You can purchase Pippalily slings at one of our fabulous retailers www.hello-sunshine.com and right now they are offering free shipping in Canada for purchase over $150.00. Trust me it will be easy to find enough lovely things to add up to that price.

I always wanted my own toolbelt

So this is not baby related or even kid related but I had to talk about this great new company started by Marissa McTasney called Moxie Trades. Many times driving by construction sites I have always felt bad for the ladies directing traffic stuck in overiszed and unflatering clothing, boots and hard hats.

Afterall who wants to wear a bright orange or red hard hat made for a man? The toolbet is one thing I might have to invest in for a small amount of $24.99 you can order it directly from their website.
But we must worn you.....be prepared to get a little more attention from the men on the contruction sites....these women look pretty sexy in their workwear apparel.
Oh and by the way a big congrats to Marissa for standing up to those mean dragons!

The Black Apple artist

I'm hooked......hooked on fabulous new artist Emily Martin.  If I could only have a fraction of her talent Im not sure what I would do but I know it would be great.  She has painted endless amounts of unique and quirky paintings of which I had so much trouble on deciding which ones to post.  She currently sells her paintings at her etsy store The Black Apple.   Check out her blog and watch the clip of her on The Martha Stewart showing making her famous Black Apple dolls.  They are next on my crafty to do list.

Retro 3 in 1 Bike

We met the owner/designer of these super cool bikes while in Vegas.
Turns out she won one of the top 10 Innovator awards for the show, and I
can see why. If my boy wasn't already four I would have seriously
invested in one of these bikes. He would so be the talk of the
neighborhood. The first stage is from 1 years old when the bike is a trike, than next the bike goes down to two wheels into a running bike.
It than evolves again into a running bike for 4-5 year olds.
Not only does it look cool but its also environmentally sustainable which
is more than just an added bonus these days. Designed in New Zealand
I would love for some Canadian retailers to start wholesaling this product.
I think it would look super cool in Chick Peas window on Front Street.
How bout it Sarah?
